The compact sensor for perceptive color recognition in industry automation
With the color sensor PCS-I/PCS-I-F Silicann Systems is closing the gap between already existing simple compact units and highly-developed fiber optics based color sensors. Due to the outstanding functionality of the PCS-I/PCS-I-F compared with existing devices Silicann is defining a new class of color sensors – compact sensors for perceptive industrial color recognition with very subtle color resolution as a consequence. Incorrect color checkings that are possible with usual RGB-sensors are eliminated with the PCS-I/PCS-I-F. Slightest color nuances can finally be recognized in the compact color sensor segment.

- internal usage of colorimetric color space L*a*b*
- fixed optic (fixed distance to object) or fiber optic (distance to object changeable)
- 3 colors teachable via key input
- adjust tolerance via key input (choose between 5 values)
- signal clipping indicator, automatic signal gain via key operation
