The Perceptive Color Sensor PCS-II
A perceptive color sensor for demanding industrial use
The Perceptive Color Sensor PCS-II from Silicann Technologies is setting new standards in industrial color processing. Its unique feature is the realisation of transformations in true-to-perception color spaces. This avoids incorrect color recognition and therefore higher cost in automation processes. Furthermore simple colorimetric applications on a high-speed level are possible. In doing so the color sensor is reasonably priced and absolutely reliable.
Specific Features:
- perceptual color processing (i.e., the color sensor processes color signals like humans do)
- usage of colorimetric color spaces like L*a*b* and L*u*v*
- fiber optic (distance to object changeable)
- 255 colors teachable via software
- changeable signal gain
- changeable brightness of internal light source
- master-slave operation for synchronizing several sensors in an array
- hold time for outputs adjustable from 0 to 65536 ms
- LabVIEW(R) driver included in delivery (for immediate integration in LabVIEW based automation machinery)
- PC based control of the sensor via Win dll function libraries in software package „PCSLib“
- firmware update via RS232 interface
- color grouping function (i.e., to assign different color samples to one output)
